Sly is an interview strategist and communication scholar with 25+ years of experience teaching and coaching effective interviewing. She holds a Ph.D. in Communication with an emphasis on interpersonal communication and is a Certified Interview Coach. She believes that great interviews start with real connection. As a published author (of academic, peer-reviewed articles and popular, general-interest books), she blends research-backed methods with live practice, structured feedback, and storytelling techniques to help clients communicate with clarity and connect with confidence. She has designed evidence-based techniques that work, partnered with employers to align preparation with current hiring practices, and mentored candidates across industries and career stages. Known for a warm and candid coaching style, she equips clients with practical playbooks that translate into stronger interviews and more opportunities for professional growth.
